TRIBUNBATAM.id, JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Tourism Office announced that there are 1,721 hotels, restaurants and cafes that have been obtained the CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, Environmental Sustainability) certificate.

The information was conveyed by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office, Andhika Permata.

"We hope that this effort can immediately restore the confidence of tourists, both domestic and foreign," he said, Friday (11/12/2021).

He hopes that the CHSE certification can encourage the recovery of the tourism sector in the province, which now has the status of Level 1 Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

His party has also prepared tourism programs, one of which is in the Cikini area with the Jakarta Experience Board.

According to the official website, the Jakarta Experience Board was formerly known as PT Jakarta Tourisindo, a sub-holding company for tourism and hospitality within the DKI Jakarta Provincial government.

Andhika explained that the tourism sector in Jakarta was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2020, total tax revenue from the entertainment, hotel and restaurant sectors in Jakarta fell by 53.4 percent.

In the same year, a total of 7.1 million domestic and foreign tourists visited Jakarta. This number has decreased by 82 percent from 2019.
